Tucked away about 20km from Kenya’s capital city Nairobi, is Kikuyu town. The town came up as a result of colonial missionaries settlements and is home to the oldest church in East and Central Africa- the 86-year-old Church of the Torch.
Kikuyu constituency, which is one of the twelve (12) administrative units/ sub-counties present in Kiambu County, is divided into 5 wards Kikuyu, Nachu, Kinoo, Karai and Sigona. The area’s current M.P is Hon. Kimani Ichung’wa.
Kikuyu town is the major and largest town in the constituency and the constituency offices are found here.
